Heather Bordelon HESC 101 (071I) I meant to post my comment under this blog sorry about posting in the wrong blog at first. This story makes me thank God for everything I have. We do take things for granted. These two women you talk about in this blog are amazingly strong women, how I could not imagine having to do the things they do on a daily basis in order to survive. It must be very intresting to meet them. Im grateful that you are able to share these amazing stories with us, we can learn so much from them. It looks like your having an amazing time. It must be very nice to have the oportunity to go out and make a difference and learn from these situations like you are doing. Good luck and keep safe!
Rebecca Mayer, HESC1010 (0711) I think everything you are getting to experience right now is so amazing! I would love to be able to travel like this one day. My major is nursing and I have always dreamed about traveling to other countries as a nurse to volunteer and help people and children in need.
Wow, that's amazing! I can't imagine having to go through all that work just to get water every day. So many things we don't think about... It must be really awesome to see things from that point of view.
Yes, every trip offers new insight and an opportunity to experience something new. As basic as the mountain was in Tanzania, and as much work as the people had to do daily- there was this 'peaceful and serene' atmosphere- like God was right there with us and we had no worries. We might have more conveniences, but I venture to say not many Tanzanians are stressed-out over too much to do- and I'll bet they sleep well at night!

WOW! The luxuries we take for granted! I cannot imagine having to balance that load on my head and do it every day just so my family can have water!
