Tanzania October 2011

I am going to the Anglican Mission School and Hospital in Mvumi, Tanzania for a week to provide mentorship to the faculty who work in the laboratory at the hospital and also teach students enrolled in the Medical laboratory Science school.

Mvumi is a rural area just outside of Dodomo, the capital of Tanzania. As I have internet access I will post my daily activities. For now- here are a couple of pictures from the last time I was in Morogoro (close by Mvumi).

It is very pretty over there. I think it is wonderful what you are doing. I would love to travel like that and get to see different cultures and learn all the different ways they treat patients and everyday people. I would really want to go help them because I just love helping people.

Tanzania is a very pretty place by looking at these pictures! I think it would be so interesting to travel the world and get to help people and learn things about other cultures all while seeing such beautiful places.

All the pictures on your blog are beautiful. The happiest times in my life were when I was abroad. It would be even better to go to another county and help the people there. (Elizabeth HESC 1010/072I)

What an amazing view! I think it is great that you are able to travel and help others while still teaching at LSUA. I would love to be able to travel and help others.

It's lovely there. I think it is great that you can travel to other countries to help others. One day I hope to be able to do the same.

Staice HESC 0721...such a beautiful place!! I am sure that technology is much different there and the learning potential is huge for both you and the people of Tanzania. My motto is to use every experience as a learning one because each opportunity is so unique. Just experiencing their culture must be so exhilarating.

Tanzania definitely looks like a beautiful place. The mountain picture is great. It has to be a satisfying job, helping people out in countries that don't have the opportunities we have here in the U.S.

It looks a lot like Louisiana in some places. I am sure it is very interesting to visit a foreign country. I would think one could learn a great deal from a different perpective. It must be so nice to be so knowledgeable in a particular field and to share that information with others who so deparately need it,so they can help their own country's men and women.
