Ms. Robinson,
I have been reading about your conference in Nairobi. It looks like you are having a great time. I am sure it is a wonderful experience. I was just wondering if there was a big communication barrier being that the attendants are from all over the world?

I am curious about how the language barrier is handled as well. I'm sure that your trips are very rewarding both personally and professionally.

English is the accepted language at the conference- so there are no problems. There have been several topics and posters on phlebotomy and pre-analytical errors, as well as presentations on universal precautions and hand washing! Add to that presentations on malaria, TB, HIV and all are global issues in every country! Conference has been fantastic! cdr
Ms. Robinson,
I am so happy to hear that there is someone going out and telling how important it is to wash your hand and be cautious about disease. From the pictures it looks like the trip is a very extrodinary experience.

I think what you are doing is amazing and how much you have accomplished. I'm sure there is somthing we could all be doing.
I think it is absolutely great how you get to travel the world and see the medical field from so many other views. Im sure each place you go, the ways are a bit different. You get to expand your ways of thinking and doing to adapt to each culture, annd I think that's great!

I know you travel all over the world. Do you apply for grants to help pay for these trips or do you have to fund them yourself?
