Back to Nairobi

Candace and I had a couple of free hours before our meeting with KMTC (Kenya Medical Training College) directors and opted to visit the Giraffe Center where injured or abandoned giraffes are cared for. Here we are visiting with "Daisy" a 17 year old giraffe.

This is KMTC-Nakuru campus in Nakuru. The campus was well maintained and very well equipped. Pictured are the Principal of the school,
the Lab Director, MedicalLab Science faculty, Mr. Julius Munyao (KMTC deputy director of all campuses). We had a very good meeting and enjoyed lunch on their campus.

Medical Lab Students at Nyeri Provincial General Hospital learning to use the Celltac automated hematology analyzer. Notice the gloves and lab coat for student protection!

What a gorgeous Simba in downtown Nairobi. He was our landmark to remember how to get back to our hotel! Candace and I shopped at the City Market for souvenirs and gifts.

Adama, Ethiopia

Adama German Hotel - Mr. German build the hotel and it is the newest in Adama. The rooms are spacious and each has a balcony. The staff are extremely friendly and attend to your every need.

Workshop room at Adama hotel. This is the Hematology group working on Causes of Anemia and how to perform a manual differential count.

Our hotel had a coffee ceremony 3-4 times each week after lunch. Everyone at the hotel came for coffee, chatting, relaxing. What an experience.
